This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of sharing the cover with these three talented ladies, and just like last time, we wanted to celebrate with a blog tour.
If you haven’t done one before, it’s fun and easy, no worries, and you get four chances to win free books. We’ve chosen four questions to answer for you, one question posted on each blog. You can visit each blog to read the answers, and leave your own answer or relevant comment to be eligible for the book giveaways. We’ll do the drawings Wednesday morning, Feb 3, approximately 9am EST. Winners will be notified directly of course, and we’ll also post it in our respective comment sections.
All four of our questions are related to the type of clothing we wear, and it was an entertaining topic to discuss – we found we varied pretty widely even among ourselves. So we’ve bared our clothing secrets – don’t be afraid to bare yours! It’ll be just between us, promise (wink). Men, don’t be shy – if you’re out there, post your answers as well, or make a comment (laughter).
So the question being featured on my blog is : What’s your most sexy/naughty-feeling outfit? Here were our answers –
Jaci Burton – I have a curve hugging sundress that fits me beautifully. Sadly it’s a summer only type of dress, but it’s one of my favorites because it looks good on me and makes me feel sexy when I wear it. It accentuates all those parts of a woman that make a woman feel great about herself. And with either heels or sandals, I can dress it up or go casual, but either way, I still feel beautiful in it. I love that dress.
Jasmine Haynes - A see-through blouse with just a lace bra underneath. It can be paired with a skirt, pants, or even jeans. I find it extremely sexy. Nothing really shows (I reveal more in a bikini) but there’s the hint of naughtiness, like you’re letting a man see a promise. A black bra with a sheer white blouse, ooh, that’s really naughty and nice!
Joey W. Hill - I have a VERY short dress, a gray snakeskin print fabric, where the back is 3-4 thin straps, and there’s a low neckline in front. Last time I wore it, I put it with a pair of teetering silver heels. Though I’ve never worn them together, I also have this great chain-mail jewelry creation from www.sblades.com that I wore for the Romantic Times fairy ball (depicted here). It cuffs at the wrists, the upper arms, and the throat. I w
ould love to put those together, to add a BDSM flare to the dress. If I’d been thinking clearly when I wrote Honor Bound, I would have had Peter put something like that on Dana when they go to the BDSM club…oh well, there are always follow-up vignettes!
When we were in our local yacht club, I wore the snakeskin dress for the annual Commodore’s Ball, which is always fun, because for that one night, instead of my usual “bag lady fashion” where I wear ankle length skirts and T-shirts with sneakers, I get to project a whole different look. As one person told me – “I’ve never seen your legs before tonight!” Since I’m more often than not mistaken for a kindergarten teacher, my reputation can weather one night of sluttiness (grin). There’s something about letting yourself feel sexy and daring every once in awhile that gives you a charge of confidence. In Honor Bound, though Peter didn’t use the jewelry, the corset into which he laces Dana is intended to serve that purpose. It gives her confidence and trust in herself, as well as him.
Denise Rossetti – You have to start with gorgeous lingerie, or possibly none at all, if you can get away with it. 
But I can’t feel sexy if I’m actively uncomfortable – or at least, not for any length of time. Shame that men don’t get that. I suppose they figure you won’t be wearing the stuff long, so it doesn’t matter. Heh.
Half-cup bras are great because they not only support the breasts, they offer them. Dead sexy. Plus, you get cleavage. What’s not to like?
Then there are thigh-highs and fuck-me heels. Nothing flatters the legs
like sheer stockings and stilettos. Click clack, click clack. Love that sexy strut. I have the most wonderful pair of red heels, the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought. They were a present to myself when I signed my first contract with Berkley, scarlet patent leather and velvet. Red shoes have always struck me as so much more daring than practical boring neutrals.
Thinking about my most sexy outfits, I used to have a black velvet dress with a deep sweetheart neckline, long narrow sleeves, tight over the ribcage and the waist. With it, I wore a pair of classically elegant black heels, with a little beaded fringe that swung over the heel. They even had a name, ‘Beyond the Fringe’. Cute, huh? Sadly, the dress has long since left me for the ragbag, but I still wear the shoes.
Funnily enough, when I asked My Beloved for his favourite of my outfits, he picked a bright turquoise sheath with splits on both sides to the top of the thigh. Men – obvious. *smile*

And I did just pre-order Laced this past weekend, I just could not wait!
But my sexy outfit would have to… Wellllll…. A pair of just right fittin jeans, a low cut v neck blouse that hugs to my curves and a pair of high heels. But my sexiest outfit has nothing to do with the clothes I am wearing – it has to do with the attitude I carry and my hair. If I am having a great hair day – then watch out world, lmbo! I am not a “I fix my hair every morning person.” so for me to say that I love my hair… it is a sexy feeling!

Because I love reading historical romance, I’ve always wondered what a corset feels like. So on a whim I ordered one, and oh man, is is so ever constricting. But there is something so naughty about it. They say you can wear it as outerwear and pair with nice leather pants or jeans. Hmm..I’ll have to re-think that one. Oh yes, it is my most naughty feeling outfit especially with black stockings!!
Cecile, you always give me a grin. “Great Hair Day” – I do understand that. I’m growing mine out after years of being VERY short, and so I don’t really have any good hair days at the moment – unless your tastes run to scary Chia pets. I keep telling myself it’s got to grow DOWN at some point, not just OUT. Anyhow, you underscored what some of the ladies noted above – a lot of it has to do with our attitude – if we feel we look great, that’s half the battle for feeling sexy. Good luck in the drawings!
Armenia, aren’t they wonderful? I know ladies of that time period would probably think we’re insane since they had to wear them every day, in every kind of miserable weather. But it makes a big difference when you wear it by choice. And when your special someone does the lacing, tightening you into it…oh my. ;>
Hmmm…my most sexy naughty clothing? I have a tendency to buy a bra a cup too small lol. Usually it is because I cannot find sexy bras in my size since I am a bit…chesty lol. I do order some from Fredericks as they carry my size. But even then they don’t have a really good push up bra for my size. And I cannot see spending an outrageous amount of money on a bra just because it gives me lift! So I usually buy a size to small. The downside is that most of the time I am wiggling the dang thing around trying to get my boobs tucked back in a bit. I laugh…they fall out. I bend over to…they fall out. I swear I sneeze…they fall out. But damn, I have oomph! LMAO. It is all worth it!
I would have to say my rose colored camisole because I always gravitate towards that to wear under my blazer and it makes me feel good. Also a pair of skinny jeans that I am too chicken to wear.

Danielle, why am I picturing any males reading this blog, thinking “What’s the downside about that?” Chuckle. I am so NOT chesty, so my problem is making them noticeable, but the push-up ones are agony by the end of the day, the way they push into the sides (lol). Feel like there should be bruises! LOL. Men never seem to realize that us women for the most part think our breasts are a pain. They think boobs and immediately lose their train of thought.
My husband has a shirt that really says everything about a man. It states: “Tell your boobs to stop staring at my eyes”.
I wasn’t always chesty. But I gained a lot of weight. And then when I nursed my kids I got even bigger. I topped out at a size G cup bra. Yeah…like I said I am chesty lol.
As for them being agony, they are. Especially when the dang sides rip out and poke me in the boob or the arm pit. I am forever pulling the darn underwires out. Unfortunately they never come out of both sides at the same time.
So I end up looking a little lopsided lol. If someone looks at me funny I usually look down, look back up and with a goofy grin say, “Oops! Sorry. I haven’t had my V-8 juice today!”

Elaine, I hear that. I tend to love my long flowing skirts, but my husband prefers me in jeans – the more snug the better – of course! On that note, Danielle, I like your husband’s sense of humor. I’ll have to pass that one on to mine, he’ll appreciate it. V8 juice – snort. Crystal, my mom always says that nothing is as sexy on a woman as a well fitted sweater – she recalls the years of Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, etc, and I can’t disagree!
My sexiest outfit would have to be my small black dress with a pair of black & gold heels.
I have this great pair of jeans that I like to wear with heels, a black blazer, and just a lacy bra underneath. I just feel a little naughty in it.
Hey Joey! I love the authors answers they were great. I would have to say the sexiest outfit would be some thing to show off my arms & back. I stay toned have great arm definition with tattoos of course, but I also have a very sexy lower back tattoo. I know everyone is not a tattoo lover, but I make them look good with a backless, sexy, form fitting, flirty dress!

It would be a silky fabric chemise with pretty lace edging, short hem and spaghetti straps. It would have to be comfortable though, to help the tomboy in me feel confident AND sexy!

My most sexy/naughty feeling outfit is my underware. I love lace panties, bras, garter belts, thigh highs and corsets. It has gotten to the point that I need a another panty draw.LOL. I can wear my sexy underware with sweats and a t-shirt and still feel sexy.
I feel unstoppable when I combine the sexy lingerie with a great pair of 4 and a half to 5 inch heels (shoes or boots) and a tight pair of jeans or a pencil skirt just above the knee with a split in the back.
Michelle, I like the ones that come with a little diamond embellishment at the join point between the cups, a bit of flash (wink). Jeanette, ah, the classic little black dress – I think I put Stacie, my heroine from Chance of a Lifetime, in one of those when Jake, my offduty cop, stopped her for speeding on a back country road and started a magical evening for them both. Maybe it was the dress (grin).
Devon, I’ve seen that look before – it’s very Paris runway and eye catching. Maisha, I want pictures!! Since you’re on my fan group, you can’t get out of it – I’ll make everyone bully you into it (wink). I’m envious of the arm definition – can’t seem to scare away that post-40 underarm flab – yuck!
KH, thanks for that great compliment – hope you like the second one as much – we started the day kind of excited because Night Owl Romance gave it a 5-start Top Reviewer Pick! Also, purple is one of my favorite colors – I don’t do it so much anymore, but used to be I had all things purple – knickknacks, stuffed animals, jewelry, clothes, etc.
Allison, I like the way you put that “comfortable enough to help the tomboy in me feel confident AND sexy” That sparked a character personality trait for me – will have to work that into somebody’s profile (lol).
Jennifer – earth tones are always sexy – I think they pick up the Earth Goddess in us all (grin). Fedora – “sore feet aren’t sexy” – I’ll take an “Amen to that!” I don’t care how gorgeous the guy is who comes up and compliments my sexy shoes, if my feet are throbbing, I’m far more apt to snarl at him with a “get down there and massage them” than simper and smile. Snort.

I don’t have anything really sexy at this time. No one to wear it for. I do have a skirt in my closet that I bought because I needed at least one feminine thing in my wardrobe. I usually just wear jeans, tank top and sneakers, adding a sweatshirt for cold weather. This skirt is black, flowing and hits ms about mid calf. I want to get a corset style top to go with it if I ever get the guts to go buy one. And thigh highs to wear under it if I ever have a man that I want to tease.
Sandy, you all are just giving me all sorts of great ideas for characters – one who wears ultra sexy lingerie under her sweats – brilliant! And of course, that dovetails right into my comment for Beth – Beth, you do have someone to wear it for – you! (laughter) It makes a girl feel just sexy as she can be to have exciting things on under her clothes. In fact, puts me in mind of Nora Roberts’ Inner Harbor (Sybill’s story in the Chesapeake Bay series). She was a Phd, and always wore such trim, classic demure clothing, and yet whenever Phillip undressed her, she always had on beautiful matched sets of lingerie, and at one point he murmurs (from memory, so may get it wrong) – Sybill, I love what goes on beneath your clothes.”
Anyway, I do understand though – sometimes having someone to wear it for inspires us to wear it more often. And the skirt and corset combination sounds dynamite.
Sandy, if we meet at a conference, you’ll have to tell me how to walk in 4-5 inch heels without looking like a flamingo high stepping through marsh water (laughter). I’ve watched them on TV say you tighten up your backside and upper thighs and that works, but so far I’ve not coordinated myself well. :>
I will confess to a fondness for thigh high stockings, and it’s even better if they are lacey at the top. Since I usually wear a one piece stretchy spanx bra, anything a little more defining (and as Fedora says, gives a little oomph) is good as well. I have a beautiful black lace dress that I just love. It isn’t all that revealing, I just feel good in it.
I must say that a sexy pair of high heels are the ultimate for me. I am naturally 5′ 9″… put me in heels and I soar, Amazon style! My ego, my posture, my strut all kick it up a notch!

The secret to walking in 4-5 inch heels is the hidden platform. I like shoes that do not show the platform, it feels like my little secret or an illusion. If a shoe does not have a hidden platform then I do not wear. The rule for me and heels is anything taller then 3 and a quarter has to be a hidden platform otherwise it is bad for the knees. LOL

At first I was a size 16 and didn’t feel very sexy in my clothes, then I got older and didn’t really want to wear sexy clothing. Hate to say it but I have no sexy clothes. I have baggy t-shirts and jeans. I have work clothes that are functional. I have A dress that I wear to weddings, funerals and places that I have to wear a dress. That’s it. I seem to recall having some sexier clothes and I wonder what ever happened to them, not that I could fit into them any more but I wonder….

In my day-to-day, I feel sexiest when I’m wearing something that gives a glimpse of the tattoo that starts at my nape and goes down between my shoulders – a butterfly surrounded by vines and blooming violets (one for every two books we contract for – lol). As far as “events” go, I wore a gorgeous silver embroidered lavender corset with a filmy white neglige (that under arm jiggle is NOT sexy!) and white leather pants to the RAW Saints and Sinners Ball, and I felt sinfully sexy!
My sexy outfit that I love to wear is a pair of low rider jeans paired with either one of my silky cami’s or during the winter with a black sweater with a plunging v-neck fur collar. The funny thing is that I usually only wear it when I’m going out with my girlfriends, but then I’ve often thought that we really don’t dress for men but to impress other women.
You all have been busy while I’ve been at dinner, treadmilling and feeding the critters!
Karen, I tend to think a woman will look sexy, even in a less stereotypically sexy dress, if she feels that way in it – unless of course, she’s a completely oblivious fashion frump like myself. But I think bag ladies can be very sexy, truly. :>

I remember my taller girlfriends in junior high who would slouch to look shorter than the boys – over time, they got rid of that slouch and were proud of their statuesque beauty – and learned that when they did that, guys would fall all over themselves watching them (chuckle).
Savonna – the “girls” – that’s always given me a chuckle. I first heard the term from fellow author Shayla Black – she was talking about going through the airport and asking help from a skycap. She’s lovely and beautifully endowed, and she had to gently encourage him to talk to her, not to “the girls”. She didn’t say that to him of course! She’s a trip – and a very talented author to boot, of course.
Sandy, I didn’t know you could put a platform inside of them like that – cool! The things I don’t know – I admit, I’m occasionally tempted to watch “What Not To Wear” to learn nifty things like that, but I’m afraid that every episode will be about someone who dresses like me.
QLady – I like how your husband’s simultaneous possessiveness and interest in seeing you in sexy clothes – he sounds like a romance hero keeper. Harrumph to Victoria’s Secret. I do think they make lovely clothes, but I don’t go there anymore. I remember bringing a coupon for a free panty to VS a few years back, and this pencil of a sales girl gave me a careless once over and says “Oh, yes, we are offering that promotion, but we’re all out of Large.” I was so taken aback by her blatant rudeness I didn’t have a snappy comeback – I mean, I might wear a size large – and be very happy with that, thank you! – but talk about tactless! Snort. And I LOVE those red shoes of Denise’s. Gives me a thrill every time I see the picture (laughter). Think I’m developing a shoe fetish late in life.
Terri, sounds like you are in need of a great shopping trip! We’ll go shopping sometime. :> One of the things I have really enjoyed about attending the conferences where there are parties like the Ellora’s Cave Fantasy Party is to see women of all sizes decked out in really sexy clothing – and wearing the hell out of it. It’s like what seems to be repeated quite a bit on this post – if you like it, and want to wear it, that enjoyment shows – and can become quite sexy (grin).
I have seen the tattoo VJ is referencing and it is GORGEOUS! In fact, I have to look in my conference pic files – think I took a picture of it (also, I’m going to rat her out – she’s part of the very talented duo that is the author Violet Summers – read their Worthington Group series – you’ll love it!)
Maria – ouch, but I think there’s a lot of truth to that. It’s like looking at a really attractive display for a great pair of shoes. Women pay attention to the artistry and creativity of the display. Men just want to see the shoes (grin).

I just adore matching bra & pant sets! They make me feel so ultra feminine & pretty. Only have a couple, but they always make me feel special. And the fact that they’re hiding under everyday clothes (most times) is a secret only one other person may find out, if he’s lucky (smirk)!

I agree with Terry above that I love matching bra and panty sets! I have several and my husband loves them! As for regular clothes, my most sexy, flirty outfit would have to be my black top that goes over one shoulder (2 inch wide strap with buckle) and under my arm on the other side with my favorite dark blue jeans that are slit open in the back to reveal my calves and have angled zipper pockets with cool stitching on the back pockets. I wear these cool black bracelets that are stretchy plastic when I wear this outfit. It looks kind of gothic which is pretty rad for me since I am more conservative.
Oh, I also have this beautiful red top with a low V-neck that has several rows of rhinestones that border the edge of the V-nect part. This is pretty with a pair of black dress pants. I have to watch though when I wear this top that I wear a black bra or something presentable because this top can pucker open to reveal my bra.

I have a black off the shoulder, belted black sweater that always makes me feel like Olivia Newton-John when she’s vamped up in Grease.
Haven’t worn anything I’d call sexy for a couple years.. steroid shots, and restricted movement caused what I call the Shamoo Syndrome, and I still haven’t gotten back to normal.
What I did wear was snug black levi’s with a HolyClothing velvet corset top.. dark purple or burgundy w/black accents [have both], and black velvet boots .. Love the look.

I always feel very sexy whenever I’m wearing thigh-highs and a garter belt, especialy if it’s paired with a short skirt. This goes very nicely with my semi-addiction to sexy shoes

I have a sundress I wear in the summer, low in the back with a pretty floral print. Without a doubt, my favorite outfit EVER!
Well here goes…..I agree that attitude has a lot to do with it, but I am a corset gal. I love to wear them I wear them with my everyday clothes to work and the grocery store you name it. So when I see one that I love I just have to get it. My favorite one to wear is one that I had hand made from a lady in Europe it is a royal blue with black and silver trim. I can’t help but not feel sexy wearing it. A good corset hugs at all the right places and accents everything you want and if you are a little bustier than most a good corset keeps everything just fine and happy.
My next thing that makes me feel sexy and on occasion I wear them together *grin* are boots. I love boots. I know you can’t beat a good pair of high heels but but for me there is something about boots. I have all sizes. I have some that go below the knee and some above it….
I have this burgundy swirled wrap dress that makes me feel like a goddess. It crosses low, over my bust to tie on my left hip with a little chain that tinkles when I walk. The way it hugs me reminds me of the feminine curve of my body from breast to waist and waist to hip. Add a pair of sexy ribboned heels that tie up my calf and I’m Aphrodite incarnate.
A short black tight fitting laced dress. I got it in a little vintage shop and absolutely LOVE it. The neckline and cut of the dress shows all the curves nicely without exposing anything and with a good pair of heels combined I feel real good in it.

Heavens, what I thought was going to be a two hour run of errands early this morning kept me out until past lunchtime. Best laid plans…sigh. I’ve really enjoyed coming back and reading the answers that have come in since last night, though!
Terry, I discovered these great little sectional cardboard thingies so I could sort all the underwear by color in one drawer and put the bras in the upper drawer, so I could color coordinate, because otherwise I’d be hopeless on that score (lol).
Michele, it is a fun topic, isn’t it? I love the Goth look – if you ever watch NCIS, Abby’s character, a forensic tech, is always wearing all sorts of Goth stuff, and I’m forever tempted to add some similar touches to my bag lady look.

Shamoo…lol – the one thing I’ve found about romance fans, is that many of you have a tendency to come up with the funniest, most tender ways to find humor in the personal difficulties you face. Eshani, I don’t think thigh highs with garters will ever go out of style in romances. Once in a Blue Moon by Penelope Wlliamson is still my favorite alltime romance, and one of the scenes that forever stuck with me was when Jessalyn and McCady finally consummate their love and he takes her in nothing but her stockings – so erotic. I love Denise’s shoes as well. Be sure and ask her on her blog where she got them – maybe it will be a franchise near you and you’ll be tempted (grin).

Rachie, you’re another of the ladies who have emphasized that self-confidence is key to feeling sexy, no matter what you’re wearing, and I totally agree. Mary, are you like Sandy, donning your sexy lingerie whether you’re wearing sweats or a cocktail dress? If so, I’m going to want to know what lingerie you’re wearing next time we meet at a signing or conference – discreetly, of course! Well, on second thought, depending on the conference, discretion may be pointless. The romance ladies get pretty wild at those (grin/snort). It’s part of the fun. Lyoness, just like Jaci – those beautiful sundresses. Something so classy and sexy about that look.
Jennifer, how do you combat that feeling that the corset boning is cutting into your armpits and under your bosom? I love wearing them as well, but after a few hours, it starts to get excruciating. Is that just the sign of a poorly made corset, or am I just a wimp? LOL
Tina, that sounds gorgeous, just the kind of dress I’d love as well. And I love those jeweled embellishments, like the little diamond piece between the cups of a bra we were discussing earlier. I think you hit on another reason women like to dress up and feel sexy – I do think we’re somewhat channeling to that energy of the Goddess of Love, and She’s happy when we feel beautiful and sexy.
Kirsten, I know Jasmine mentioned on the “shopping addiction” question that she loves secondhand shops, and I love those and the vintage shops as well. My wedding dress came from a vintage shop – found it while I was in college, paid $8 for it, had it hemmed and it was gorgeous.
Ina, you are an incredibly confident woman and I bow in awe to you (laughter). I had a time finding a new bikini this year – my husband definitely likes me to wear those versus one-pieces, but I don’t like the ones with the ties, and so many of them were low-rise, and I am NOT going to wander around, hitching up my bottoms every two seconds. But I did find a pretty one eventually, though it is modest by scanty standards (wink).
I am loving all the great comments. For me, it’s all about the lingerie. While I am a pretty casual dresser, mostly jeans, and a couple of favorite skirts, I love wearing sexy lingerie, though I never have tried a corset yet. Something about peeling back the package to see the sexiness underneath, makes my hubby very lustful, lol.
