So tomorrow, February 2nd is the official release day for the Laced with Desire anthology! Would you like to read an excerpt from each of the stories? Here you are:
No Strings Attached by Jaci Burton
La Petit Mort by Jasmine Haynes
Rhio’s Dancer by Denise Rossetti
This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of sharing the cover with these three talented ladies, and just like last time, we wanted to celebrate with a blog tour.
If you haven’t done one before, it’s fun and easy, no worries, and you get four chances to win free books. We’ve chosen four questions to answer for you, one question posted on each blog. You can visit each blog to read the answers, and leave your own answer or relevant comment to be eligible for the book giveaways. We’ll do the drawings Wednesday morning, Feb 3, approximately 9am EST. Winners will be notified directly of course, and we’ll also post it in our respective comment sections.
All four of our questions are related to the type of clothing we wear, and it was an entertaining topic to discuss – we found we varied pretty widely even among ourselves. So we’ve bared our clothing secrets – don’t be afraid to bare yours! It’ll be just between us, promise (wink). Men, don’t be shy – if you’re out there, post your answers as well, or make a comment (laughter).
So the question being featured on my blog is : What’s your most sexy/naughty-feeling outfit? Here were our answers –
Jaci Burton – I have a curve hugging sundress that fits me beautifully. Sadly it’s a summer only type of dress, but it’s one of my favorites because it looks good on me and makes me feel sexy when I wear it. It accentuates all those parts of a woman that make a woman feel great about herself. And with either heels or sandals, I can dress it up or go casual, but either way, I still feel beautiful in it. I love that dress.
Jasmine Haynes - A see-through blouse with just a lace bra underneath. It can be paired with a skirt, pants, or even jeans. I find it extremely sexy. Nothing really shows (I reveal more in a bikini) but there’s the hint of naughtiness, like you’re letting a man see a promise. A black bra with a sheer white blouse, ooh, that’s really naughty and nice!
Joey W. Hill - I have a VERY short dress, a gray snakeskin print fabric, where the back is 3-4 thin straps, and there’s a low neckline in front. Last time I wore it, I put it with a pair of teetering silver heels. Though I’ve never worn them together, I also have this great chain-mail jewelry creation from www.sblades.com that I wore for the Romantic Times fairy ball (depicted here). It cuffs at the wrists, the upper arms, and the throat. I w
ould love to put those together, to add a BDSM flare to the dress. If I’d been thinking clearly when I wrote Honor Bound, I would have had Peter put something like that on Dana when they go to the BDSM club…oh well, there are always follow-up vignettes!
When we were in our local yacht club, I wore the snakeskin dress for the annual Commodore’s Ball, which is always fun, because for that one night, instead of my usual “bag lady fashion” where I wear ankle length skirts and T-shirts with sneakers, I get to project a whole different look. As one person told me – “I’ve never seen your legs before tonight!” Since I’m more often than not mistaken for a kindergarten teacher, my reputation can weather one night of sluttiness (grin). There’s something about letting yourself feel sexy and daring every once in awhile that gives you a charge of confidence. In Honor Bound, though Peter didn’t use the jewelry, the corset into which he laces Dana is intended to serve that purpose. It gives her confidence and trust in herself, as well as him.
Denise Rossetti – You have to start with gorgeous lingerie, or possibly none at all, if you can get away with it.
But I can’t feel sexy if I’m actively uncomfortable – or at least, not for any length of time. Shame that men don’t get that. I suppose they figure you won’t be wearing the stuff long, so it doesn’t matter. Heh.
Half-cup bras are great because they not only support the breasts, they offer them. Dead sexy. Plus, you get cleavage. What’s not to like?
Then there are thigh-highs and fuck-me heels. Nothing flatters the legs
like sheer stockings and stilettos. Click clack, click clack. Love that sexy strut. I have the most wonderful pair of red heels, the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought. They were a present to myself when I signed my first contract with Berkley, scarlet patent leather and velvet. Red shoes have always struck me as so much more daring than practical boring neutrals.
Thinking about my most sexy outfits, I used to have a black velvet dress with a deep sweetheart neckline, long narrow sleeves, tight over the ribcage and the waist. With it, I wore a pair of classically elegant black heels, with a little beaded fringe that swung over the heel. They even had a name, ‘Beyond the Fringe’. Cute, huh? Sadly, the dress has long since left me for the ragbag, but I still wear the shoes.
Funnily enough, when I asked My Beloved for his favourite of my outfits, he picked a bright turquoise sheath with splits on both sides to the top of the thigh. Men – obvious. *smile*
* * * * *
Okay, now, tell me your answer to the question or, if you’re VERY shy, just leave an intelligent sounding comment and I’ll enter you in my drawing, which is for a copy of Laced with Desire (if you win and you’ve already pre-ordered it, I’ll let you substitute a different title, no worries.)
After you do that, hop on over to the other ladies’ blogs and you’ll get to read our answers to their assigned question and have a chance at their wonderful giveaways!

Good luck!
My sexiest outfit is a slinky black dress that I wear with high heels and dress it up with some nice jewelry.
Hey Joey,
on the Holyclothing corset top.. it’s a corset type top.. not your traditional corset.. but they are beautiful.
Although my best friend use to custom make those for reenactments .. she had told me before unless they are custom made to fit you and only you they will pinch & poke.
Oh boy. I am a comfy girl, not a sexy girl. I work from home and take care of the kids, so I am a pj and sweat pant wearer. So sexy for me would be getting into some jeans, a nice shirt that fits and doing my hair.
Cathy, definitely try a corset at some point – and have him lace you into it – they get quite intrigued by the way the waist nips and the bosom sweelllss (lol) – just remind him you do have to BREATHE. Lol
Joye, I think we’ve definitely agreed the slinky black dress is an irreplaceable classic – something about it just makes a woman feel svelte, feminine and ultra sexy at once. :>
Iokijo, thanks for that add’l info – now I’m going to have to check them out, because they sound like they might do far better for all day wear. Sigh – I was afraid that was the reason for the uncomfortable poking. Ah well, I don’t mind suffering a bit for the look and the DH’s pleasure, since I know I definitely can’t afford a custom fit one (and as fidgety as I am, would probably have trouble getting through a fitting. :>
Amy – you gave me a chuckle, because during this last deadline I was going without makeup, shoving my hair back and throwing on whatever came to hand. The first day I went back to actually coordinating my clothes, putting on a little makeup and using the curlers, my husband did a doubletake as if I’d stepped out of the bathroom in an evening gown (lol). But especially when you have a busy life, comfort is ultra important!
Oh, btw, Joey, yes, sore feet aren’t sexy, but a good foot massage can be VERY… I still wouldn’t wear uncomfortable shoes on purpose for long though, because I know my cranky self is completely UNsexy!
I always wear the good sexy lingerie no matter what the outerwear. Corsets are sexy as hell and fun to get helped in/out of and a good bit naughty. I’m sure my husband would prefer for me to wear one all of the time, but there is the oxygen factor. They really do give me that sexy boost (until the oxygen mask drops and hits you on the head).
Favorite overt sexy outfit: My form fitting little black dress, stockings, garters, heels and some sexy undies. I keep the heels at 3 inches and shorter or else I wouldn’t be able to walk…gracefully. It wouldn’t be pretty and might involve long term disability.
Favorite covert sexy/naughty outfit: Jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes and most definitely, the sexy undies.
I think you should wear whatever brings out your naughty inner sex kitten. It might be a corset, sweats, slinky dress, stealthy sexy lingerie, or even just a pair of glasses…only.
Maybe one of my lacey tops, long sleeves, high neck, doesn’t matter which color, black pants and boots. I guess you can tell I don’t dress up to go out much..LOL. I like to stay home when I don’t have to be at work. I’m more comfy in shorts and tshirts.
Joey,
I guess I am just used to how the corset feels that doesn’t really bother me and I don’t usually notice it. It did take me awhile to find a brand that fit me the way I like and once I did I was all set and happy. The ones that I have made are my favorite as far as how they feel.
Fedora – I wonder if most men realize if they started with a foot or back massage, they’d get lucky way more often – they always want to grab for their favorite parts first, and do not realize the combination sensual/relaxation value of a thorough, attentive massage. When Jacob gives Lyssa her pedicure in Vampire Queen’s Servant/Mark of the Vampire Queen (can’t remember which since it’s one long uninterrupted story in my mind – lol), I enjoyed writing how he took his time massaging her feet. Love those kinds of slow build scenes.
Lyn – there, you just did it again! I think you all have given me several great ideas for scenes in upcoming books – sunglasses only. Snort. Priceless. As far as oxygen masks, I could tell a couple amusing stories in terms of learning experiences and how far you can test a corset’s ability to make you turn blue and faint, but my husband would feel I’m sharing too much (grin).
Janet, I’d much prefer to be sexy at home than anywhere else – and be relaxing with book and chocolate and fuzzy slippers while being sexy (grin) – of course, my biggest problem with being sexy is being cold. Fedora mentioned sore feet not being sexy – freezing is not sexy to me either. I’m much more of the “come under these three layers of blankets and find out what I’m NOT wearing. Wink.
Jennifer, that sounds like about the same process as finding bras that make us happy and are comfortable in the long run, which of course just makes sense, because they’re all foundation garments. I remember a documentary about a lady who runs a specialty bra shop, and she said that most women are wearing a bra that doesn’t fit quite right – she offers half sizes, gives tips on the fit, etc. Wish she lived near me!
Okay, it’s about 14 minutes past time to announce the winner of the giveaway on this blog – think the other ladies are already ahead of me!
The winner is Armenia!! Congratulations, Armenia – you’ve won a copy of Laced with Desire, hot off the presses. Shoot me an email at storywitch@ec.rr.com with your snail mail address and I’ll get that off to you this week! As noted earlier, if you’ve already purchased it, you can substitute another of my titles if you prefer – or the first anthology, Unlaced! Just let me know.
Thanks again for a marvelous time, everyone – it’s been eye opening and fun to find out what everyone’s favorite sexy wear is. You all have delightful senses of humor and yet I expect you also make guys get whiplash when you wear those wonderful clothes, shoes, corsets, bras, etc etc etc. Have a great rest of the week and come back to visit the blog anytime! Tomorrow or later today I’m going to post an overdue blog about the charity contest I held at Christmas, which may make you aware of some great organizations you’d like to consider for your future donations. Then, NEXT WEEK – Part I of the free vignette featuring Lyssa and Thomas from the Vampire Queen series.
Best wishes to all.

Thank you to the wonderful authors for a fun contest.
Thank you, Joey, I had the most fun answering your question. I would never admit to most people I own a corset…yet, here I am. Naughty me!!
Oh, I just checked out the web site on your chain-mail jewelry. So sinfully nice….I think I have an idea for Valentines Day. Thanks again.
Thank you, Danielle.
Armenia, you’re very welcome – and remember, I did say this was just between all of us – our secret, we swear! (laughter). And be careful of the sblades site – you can get lost there for days! :>
Danielle, don’t pout, girl! You know you’ll have another shot Friday – we’ll all be over at the I Do Not Want to Wait I Want the Book Now blog (http://idonotwanttowaitiwantthebooknow.wordpress.com/), doing an interview and giveaway there.
