And as you probably saw, there will definitely be a third book for Jacob and Lyssa. I'm contracted to write that later this year, so we'll get to see how they're doing - the baby, Lyssa's new Fae powers, how she and Jacob handle the power dynamic between them now... And you'll also get to see a little bit about them in Beloved Vampire, because they make a guest appearance in that with Danny and Dev! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to revisiting them as well. She's a very different kind of heroine - when I think of the things I've learned in 40+ years, and how it has made me less sensitive and reactive to certain things, and more reactive to others, I have no trouble imagining that her reactions to things (being 1000 years old) are sometimes beyond our understanding. But that makes her an even more intriguing character to write. I liked writing Jonah of Mermaid's Kiss for similar reasons.
