This month’s newsletter winner is Tamsyn!! Congratulations, Tamsyn, and I’m emailing you directly to find out your book choice. Be sure to check your newsletter next month for another chance to win.
Also, don’t forget, we have a Bookclub Chat night coming up on the JWH fan forum, August 6, 8-10pm EST. We’ll be talking about Vampire Instinct, as well as taking any other questions/comments about the books you have. The Bookclub night is a lot of fun, whether you want to lurk or participate, so come on out and join us. And of course there are always great giveaways.
Now, if you can’t make it at that time, you’re always welcome to check into that thread later on, because it stays up for awhile and you can read all the Q&A posts. You’re welcome to leave follow up questions there, because I check back throughout the week.
And of course, you can leave a question at the “Got a Question for Joey” thread anytime!
[Note if you haven’t logged onto the forum before – there’s a short registration process, only requiring a valid email address to protect the forum from spammers. Once you complete that registration process, navigate away from the site, come back/login, and the Bookclub Night thread will show up, along with all the other wonderful forum content – free vignettes, graphics, etc…] Hope to see you there!
Joey
I know you have your official website but you still remain ours here. So glad to hear from you again and here’s hoping life is treating you gently.
Thanks, Maggie! :> Hope to get back to the vignettes by turn of the year – we have to see what happens with Ben and Celeste (wink), before Ben and Marcie become an item!
Hi Joey
Now that your new website is up will you be shutting down this venue?
Maggie, I don’t have immediate plans in that direction, but I admit it is a distinct possibility in the future. My blog traffic has always been pretty small overall, and has dwindled even further now that most of the posts here are redundant with what’s being offered on the forum (vignettes, announcements, etc). It makes sense to eventually streamline it and delete the blog, keeping the fan forum the hub of all substantive information, with Twitter and Facebook announcements for the more brief stuff. I’d likely archive the blog and have it on standby only for cross posting events, etc.
So it would probably be good, if you’re not yet a member of the forum, to move in that direction at some point so you can continue to access the vignettes, excerpts, etc. It really is easy to log on, and there’s no pressure to participate – you can go to the vignette section and view/comment just as you do the blog without getting mired down in areas you don’t particularly care to visit. It’s a really good group over there. And the visuals/graphics inspired by the books are VERY worth it – much more so than my bland little blog (laughter).
I know you’ve enjoyed the blog site, and hope you can find similar or even better qualities over at the forum site over time, but thanks for your support of me here! And again, it won’t happen immediately. My guess is I won’t make a decision on it until the turn of the year, after the two deadlines are met.
Thanks Joey. Am already a member of the forum (just signed on today to the new one) and I lurk every once in a while to see whats happening there. Guess I’m just lazy. Your blog offers quick and easy access and I don’t have to think too hard to see what your about. No doubt – like everything else – we will get used to the “new way.”
I thought you might be, but didn’t want to make any assumptions (wink). No worries – I understand! Change can always be a bit aggravating – makes me growly sometimes, too. ;> Thanks for hanging with me, regardless!
