Blog Redirect!

hostiletakeover_200x329As many of you know, I recently noted the likelihood that I’d let the blog go dormant in 2012, since it’s primarily used to post vignette segments and announce newsletter winners. Therefore, to streamline things a little bit, going forward vignette segments will  be found  at the JWH connection fan forum. Monthly newsletter contest winners will be announced in each subsequent issue of the newsletter (though the winner will be notified promptly upon the date of the drawing).

It’s a great time to come to the forum, because I just started up the first of the 2012 vignettes. “Retribution” focuses on Ben, a character from my Knights of the Board Room series. His book, Hostile Takeover, comes out in the next month or two. While he’ll of course find his forever lady in that story, in this “still single” vignette, he has an intense club interaction with Celeste de Mille, the nosy business social news columnist who gave K&A men the “Knights” title.  Part One is at the forum. Enjoy!

With respect to accessing the vignettes, remember if you’ve never logged onto the fan forum before, there’s a short registration process. Only a valid email address is required, and that’s simply to prevent spammers from getting on the site. Once you do the registration, navigate away from the site, come back, log in, and you’re all set to access the members-only material of vignettes, exclusive excerpts, graphics inspired by the books, and much more. If you have any problems, email me at storywitch@storywitch.com and I’ll be happy to help.

To subscribe to the monthly newsletter, visit my website, www.storywitch.com, and click on the Subscribe to Newsletter link in the gold bar menu on the left. Thanks for following me on the blog all this time – I hope you’ll find the increased content of the forum or information accessed through the newsletter just as enjoyable!

Please let me know if you have any trouble accessing the forum or newsletter, and very best wishes to you all in 2012!

What a shame. Forums are impossible to follow in readers, which is how I keep up. *shrugs*.

Well, I’ve got the newsletter, and I’m trying again to sign up for the forum. If the auto-confirm doesn’t show up in a few days, I’ll whine some more.

Cat, readers do make some things more difficult. I know my husband uses the Weight Watchers online app, and while it works great on the laptop, there are variations and some headaches when he uses on Ipod or Ipad. But usually the forum sign up is very straightfoward and almost immediate – if you don’t see an auto-confirm same day, shoot me a direct email at storywitch@storywitch.com and the forum admins will see what the problem is. Once you’re on the forum, navigation is easy and you can pick your favorite threads and follow them with the click of a checkbox.

*snerk* ;) Yep, especially when it’s late and we’re cranky. Auto-confirm came through fine. Off to lurk a bit.

LOL – I was referring to the electronic devices, but you did give me a grin. I’m glad it worked – hope you find things you enjoy at the forum. :>

Oh, you know, I was wondering why your post didn’t make any sense to me. I was referring to a feed reader, like Google Reader. I’m not surprised you thought otherwise. It amazes me how something as useful as feed readers have faded from general consciousness, but they have. Guess they’re only for the obsessed.

  6. Joey W. Hill says:

Oh! Silly me. Snort. I know the forum does have the check box on each of its threads, so if you wanted to follow a particular thread, you can receive notifications for the postings to it. But I’m not as tied into all the forum functionality on feed options as the forum admins, Kat, Jaime and Sandy. You might post a question to them, either on the home page, or you can click on the forum link and scroll down to leave a message in their individual boxes, and see if there’s a wider functionality in that regard than I know about. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
